TheWill’s DOWNTOWN Magazine Appoints Onah Nwachukwu as New Editor

DOWNTOWN, the lifestyle and culture magazine of THEWILL Newspaper, will continue its majestic flight under the leadership of Ms. Onah Nwachukwu, now confirmed as substantive Editor.

Until her recent elevation, Nwachukwu had served as Acting Editor of the all-color gloss magazine, having joined as pioneer Beauty Editor.

A lawyer by training, Onah packs over a decade of experience in both editorial and managerial capacities into her new role.

She expresses excitement about her mission at DOWNTOWN.

“Becoming the Editor of a progressive magazine such as THEWILL DOWNTOWN is certainly an exciting opportunity for me. I shall be leading a team already shaping the weekend conversation in Nigeria, as well as filling a need people have for content that is relevant. This prospect looks not only stimulating but also promises to be personally fulfilling. It’s a challenge we have taken up for ourselves at DOWNTOWN, and we are confident that we will deliver,” Nwachukwu said.

Expressing confidence in the new Editor, Austyn Ogannah, THEWILL’s Publisher, said, “Onah is a very reliable and dedicated professional. She brings her editorial and leadership experience to the magazine. I have no doubt that she will excel in her new role.”

Nwachukwu began her career at THISDAY Style before her appointment as Editor of HELLO! NIGERIA, the sole African franchise of the international magazine, HELLO!

Thereafter, she served as Group Editor-in-Chief at TrueTales Publications, publishers of Complete Fashion, HINTS, HELLO! NIGERIA and Beauty Box.
