ARTISTE ‘MARCO’ DROPS NEW PROJECT TITLED ‘FREESTYLES N’ FEATURES’

New school artiste Marco has dropped his new project titled Freestyles n’ Features. The artiste featured several musicians on nine tracks to depict the experimental phase of the creation process.

When asked about the inspiration behind the project, Marco said that many artistes cross genres within the span of their careers, to make short-lived commercial successes from trending sounds. He, however, wanted to make a distinctive sound that can resonate during any period.

Speaking more on that, Marco said:

“A lot of people have opinions about my music, and how they feel I should sound or tell my story to be more commercial in terms of message and delivery…But I don’t find it convenient to settle. My message is deep, and I want my story told from my perspective as I see it. Not what it should sound like to sell records. I venture to deliver facts over fiction or fantasy and looking ahead so I can have my focus and not be confused about doing many different things or sounding too different from other jobs I’ve done.”

The musician stated that he feels that he has achieved his goal of showing the experimentation behind the creative process in the making of Freestyles n’ Features. The result is a project filled with unbiased, coordinated lyrics and the use of ordinary words to create extraordinary statements.

Marco featured the likes of DJ Funky, J Boogie, PRODGEEZ, and Nero on this project. You can listen to the entire project here.

Marco’s next EP, Late Comer, will be released next year. In the meantime, the artiste plans to release new videos for Freestyles n’ Features.
