AFRICAN FASHION FOUNDATION PRESENTS JERMAINE BLEU S/S 22 COLLECTION

Following a successful #AFFPresents showcase at Lagos Fashion Week with Orange Culture, African Fashion Foundation will be presenting the Jermaine Bleu Spring/Summer 2022 collection at a private showcase in Accra, Ghana. 

Ghanaian-based fashion brand, Jermaine Bleu, founded by Jason Jermaine Asiedu in 2015, is a contemporary ready-to-wear African brand that represents style and quality Made in Ghana garments. The Jermaine Bleu brand is a heritage brand for the bold, beautiful and intellectual, and prides itself on being innovative and inclusive. Collections explore diverse layers of creativity with the aim of telling stories through the lens of modern-day Africa, informed by culture.

“AFF’s track record demonstrates our focus on being a catalyst for growth and development within the African Fashion Ecosystem. This will continue to guide the foundation’s owned initiatives and platforms, as we collectively chart the way for a sustainable future for the African fashion industry ” – Onyinye Fafi Obi, Project Director – African Fashion Foundation.

The Jermaine Bleu’s S/S22 collection, titled “Joy ” will be presented on November 27, 2021. The theme of “Joy” is explored through beautiful structured designs in a color palette of warm classic tones. The collection aims to embody what “Joy” feels and looks like in the modern African context. 

The reimagined runway show will take guests on a journey to experience Jermaine Bleu’s world. Creative director, Jason Jermaine Asiedu channels love, freedom, community, and self-expression throughout this collection. He will also be introducing the brand’s new monogram logo through certain key print pieces, as well as new textiles and fabrics during the runway show.

Under the #AFFPresents umbrella, AFF plans to roll out impact-focused collaborations and activations with African Creatives. 

Since its inception, AFF has impacted over 300 lives, spearheaded over 15 initiatives, and has dispersed over 1 million dollars in grants.
