Arivla, an e-commerce platform, hosted its Asoebi Party and Fashion Show on Friday, December 13, 2024, at The Podium, Lagos.
Themed “Old Money vs. New Money,” the event honored Nigerian fashion and culture, inspiring fashion lovers, industry leaders, and creatives.
The venue featured creative settings, including a traditional palm wine station, immersing guests in the Owambe experience with live music. The ambiance was festive, with beers, palm wine, soda, and trays of small chops served throughout the evening. Models walked the runway in striking old-money and new-money-inspired outfits, gracefully interpreting the theme. Guests also embraced the theme wholeheartedly, arriving in beautiful attires that elevated the evening’s elegance.
In addition, The Asoebi Party and Fashion Show featured stunning collections from top Nigerian designers, including Marté Egele, Bibi Lawrence, Nichole Stylish, Black Adudu, Looks Like a Good Man, Essien, and HRH Luxury. A standout moment was T. Atelier’s collection, which was uniquely introduced through an innovative 3D AI display.
The exhibition showcased a wide range of vendors, including House of Tara, ATS Spa, Funtok Fabrics, SAS Textiles, Headies by Omah, and Maxdent, among others, giving guests an overview of Nigeria’s thriving creative sector.
At the event, Dr. Mrs. Ivy Okike-Fatusin, CEO and Founder of Arivla, expressed her enthusiasm. She stated: “It’s truly inspiring to see everyone not only looking stunning but also fully embracing the theme with such elegance and creativity. Furthermore, this event is more than a celebration of fashion—it’s, indeed, a testament to the power of culture and creativity to bring people together, spark meaningful connections, and, ultimately, showcase the richness of our heritage in ways that deeply resonate with all who are here.”
The event, which also featured drink partners such as Veuve du Vernay Africa, Odogwu Bitters, Pepsi, Lisa Ice, Goldberg, and Life, ultimately ended with an after-party brimming with celebration and lively networking.
The Asoebi Party and Fashion Show marked the official opening of Arivla’s platform, which promotes Nigerian culture and fashion globally.
