Glenmorangie Celebrates Legacy and Creative Influence

Following the success of its inaugural Circle of Influence gathering, Glenmorangie introduced the Legacy Circle to recognise individuals whose influence extends beyond personal achievements. Through this initiative, the brand celebrates people who build, nurture and sustain legacies that continue to inspire others.

At the heart of the evening, guests explored how influential individuals shape Nigeria’s creative and cultural landscape. More importantly, they reflected on how true legacy goes beyond individual accomplishments. It also lives on through the ideas people introduce, the standards they establish and the opportunities they create for others.

Similarly, the theme reflects Glenmorangie’s approach to craftsmanship. Founded in 1843, the brand continues to honour its heritage while embracing creativity, innovation and new possibilities in whisky-making.

Throughout the evening, guests shared personal experiences and discussed how craftsmanship, perseverance and community have shaped their careers. In doing so, they explored defining moments across music, film, fashion and the wider creative ecosystem.

Darey Art Alade Leads Conversations on Craft and Legacy

As host, Darey Art Alade guided conversations about craftsmanship, dedication, patience, style and transformation. These values also reflect Glenmorangie’s approach to whisky-making and its commitment to innovation.

Speaking about the significance of the gathering, Darey Art Alade said:

“Legacy is not simply about being remembered; it is about what your work makes possible for those who come after you. It is the ideas you introduce, the standards you set, the people you inspire and the doors you leave open for the next generation. The most meaningful legacies are built with intention, patience and a genuine commitment to one’s craft. The Legacy Circle is a celebration of those who have spent years shaping our creative landscape, often quietly, and whose influence continues to live on through the people and possibilities they have helped create. It is an honour to bring these remarkable individuals together and to celebrate not only what they have achieved but also what they continue to make possible.”

Glenmorangie Whisky Tasting Showcases Three Expressions

Beyond the conversations, the evening highlighted Glenmorangie’s appreciation for individuals who embody character, creativity and craftsmanship. To bring this theme to life, the brand invited guests to explore three whisky expressions: Glenmorangie The Original 12 Years Old, The Lasanta 15 Years Old and The Infinita 18 Years Old.

Each expression offered a distinctive flavour profile. For instance, The Original 12 Years Old featured creamy vanilla, citrus and ripe peach notes. Meanwhile, The Lasanta 15 Years Old delivered rich flavours of raisins, honey, toffee, cinnamon and clove.

In contrast, The Infinita 18 Years Old offered layered notes of honey, caramelised orange, jasmine, lemon blossom, fig and orange marmalade. Together, these three expressions showcased the diverse flavours that define the Glenmorangie range.

Alongside the tasting, guests enjoyed a three-course dining experience and Glenmorangie Highball cocktails. The brand also served carefully paired canapés to complement the flavours of each whisky expression.

Finally, the evening concluded with a legacy toast. During this moment, guests celebrated one another’s contributions to their respective industries and reflected on the lasting impact they continue to make.

Glenmorangie Highlights the Value of Craftsmanship

Deborah Eli, Glenmorangie brand manager, also shared the inspiration behind the Circle of Influence series. She said:

“At Glenmorangie, we believe that exceptional things are rarely created overnight. They are shaped by time, patience, curiosity and an unwavering commitment to craft. That same spirit can be seen in the individuals we celebrate through the Circle of Influence. Their influence has been built over years of dedication, creativity and a willingness to evolve while remaining true to what makes their work distinctive. The Legacy Circle gives us an opportunity to honour these remarkable individuals, share in their stories and celebrate the lasting impact they continue to have on Nigeria’s creative and cultural landscape.”

Through the Circle of Influence: Legacy Circle, Glenmorangie continues to create culturally relevant experiences that connect influential individuals across Nigeria’s creative industries. In turn, these experiences encourage conversations, inspire communities and celebrate the people who leave a lasting mark on the country’s cultural landscape.
