Partnering with Comscore and the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), FilmOne ensures the Nigeria Box Office Rankings follow a structured, data-driven process. This process evaluates box office performance, screen time, and the impact of talent in films. Executive producers validate and finalize selections using standardized industry metrics.

Regarding recent inquiries about the performance ranking criteria, FilmOne offers these clarifications:

Performers must appear in films grossing at least 20 million Naira within the eligibility period (January 1st–December 31st).

Lead performers must be designated leads in the relevant films.

Each category includes two male/female supporting performers, validated by the film’s producers and executive producers.

The Yearbook is a foundational reference for Nigeria’s film industry, with FilmOne producing it to support Nollywood.
