At the heart of In My Corner lies a simple truth: women empower women. Co-founders Jokotade Shonowo and Ivie Osula have consistently experienced this in both their personal and professional journeys. Through mentorship, collaboration, and sisterhood, they’ve been uplifted by other women, and now, they’re giving back by creating space for women’s stories to shine.

In My Corner: From Vision to Movement

What began as Joko’s vision for a safe space of real conversations has evolved into a movement. Notably, when Ivie Osula, a luxury fashion entrepreneur and former finance professional, joined forces with her, the platform’s reach and impact deepened. Together, they’ve transformed In My Corner into a hub where fashion, photography, and storytelling intersect, celebrating women’s complex, multifaceted journeys beyond the mainstream narrative.

Capturing More Than Images

Jokotade Shonowo, with over 14 years of experience as a professional photographer, founded In My Corner to capture more than just beautiful images. “Photography has always been my medium,” she explains. “But I wanted to capture emotion, truth—stories that live in everyday moments. In My Corner brings those stories to light.”

Ivie Osula adds depth and perspective to the platform. Her career pivot from finance to fashion reflects the kind of bold reinvention that In My Corner champions. “Women’s stories go beyond success and struggle,” she shares. “They include the messy middle, the pivots, the quiet wins. I built DWL to honor creativity and elegance, and In My Corner continues that mission by honoring authenticity.”

More than a platform, In My Corner is a community-driven movement. It celebrates women who are building businesses, leading creative revolutions, and redefining success on their terms. The goal? To prove that some of the most powerful narratives come from everyday women whose voices often go unheard.

As Joko and Ivie take In My Corner into its next chapter, they plan to expand its reach through:

  • Visually compelling storytelling
  • In-depth interviews with inspiring women
  • Thought-provoking conversations about womanhood, identity, and ambition

They remain committed to their mission: celebrating women’s diverse experiences and creating a safe, stylish space where every voice matters.

Follow their journey:

  • @InMyCornercampaign for the latest interviews and behind-the-scenes conversations
  • @DWL to explore Ivie Osula’s fashion brand

Every woman has a story worth telling. And In My Corner is here to tell it—boldly, beautifully, and unapologetically.
