These were the women who gave us our first smile while watching Nollywood.
We might not be seeing much of them on screen, but we have been catching up with them at events and on Instagram.

Kate Henshaw, also known as Kate Henshaw Nuttal. We still see her on our screens. She still features in many Netflix movies and series.
She is a fitness and natural hair enthusiast. Kate won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the movie Stronger than Pain in 2008.

3. Oge Okoye
Oge can be quite fashionable when she wants to be. The actress is divorced with two beautiful kids.
This is one actress we miss on our screens.
Oge transitioned from just an actress to a producer.
which we think is taking most of her time.

4. Ini Edo
Actress Iniobong Edo Ekim began her film career in 2000 and has featured in more than 100 movies since her debut.
She was formally married in 2008 to an American-based businessman called Philip Ehiagwina. However, they divorced in 2014. And she is currently still single.
Ini Edo is a fashion enthusiast, you will find her slaying on the red carpet, at weddings, and even at her movies.
With this hourglass figure? Ini Edo slayed this black dress look.

5. Chioma Chukwuka.
Chioma Chukwuka is an actress, director, and movie producer.
In 2007, she won the African Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Leading Role” for her performance in the movie “Sins of the Flesh”, and the Afro Hollywood Award for best actress in a lead role in 2010.
The actress is a mother and a literal homemaker.
She makes great delicacies as a side hustle.
When it comes to fashion, you can’t count Chioma in.
But just like every woman, she shows up when she has to.

]]>African female celebrities continually show that they aren’t the ones to mess with, I kid you not, AMVCA7 is the most competitive and fashion-forward the red carpets of the AMVCA’s have ever been.
No doubt, for AMVCA7 2020, we have the new category, “Best Dressed of The Night” Male and Female to thank.
Without saying too much, let’s talk about some looks from the red carpets.
Here are our Top 10 best dressed from the AMVCA7 2020 Red Carpet;
Adunne Ade pulled up in this beautiful purple gown made by Luminee, the most gorgeous thing about this detailed turtle neck gown is that the color (purple) made her skin pop. Overall it’s unique, it’s classy and its simple.
Wofai did leave a mark at the event as she rocked a beautiful long beige gown with nude illusion by Xtrabrides. One of the most interesting things about this dress was the fabric placement and Wofai topping the look off with her long sleek hair. Her poise was oozing last night.
Our Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner Mercy Eke caused waves with her silver and blue sequin dress by designer Dona Matoshi. Mercy served us Cinderella and we all envied her like Cinderella’s step sisters. She sparkled all night.
Appearing in an oxblood and gold tube gown designed by Trish Couture, the actress and reality TV star made jaws drop. Venita fascinated this look by wearing a Mohawk hairdo and her statement gloves.
This is how you look simple yet so sophisticated that the more people stare the more mesmerized they become.
Adesua stunned in a net nude illusion drape dress designed by Matopeda. There were no details on the dress but the fabric placement was superb and it made her stand out in smple elegance.
Green never looked better as reality TV star Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee C) stepped out in a green vision. This green gorgeous outfit was designed by Sheye Oladejo. Her hair, make-up and accessories helped in securing her place as number 5 on our list today. I will say it again, Green never looked better.
Look who is dripping in gold….Sharon Ooja has locked her place as one of the fast rising fashion forward Celebrities in Nigeria, she went further to prove that right as she dripped onto the red carpets at the AMVCA. She really looked like a million bucks
Avant Garde meets camp, camp meets elegance and elegance meets sass….we are talking about Inidima sliding onto the red carpet with an agenda to make us gasp, well, gasp we did! This beautiful gown was designed by Mazelle Studio putting Inidima in our Top 3.
Mercy Aigbe mustered all the high fashion, elegance and uniqueness with her beautiful mustard colored gown designed by Luminee. The construction of this outfit obviously did cost some creativity and attention to details plus Mercy really brought the right amount of poise to go with the dress.
She was unique and brought something totally new – sophistication like we have never seen before. Nana was undoubtedly the best dressed of the night as she stepped out in a Gaurav Gupta couture gown.
