1) SWIMWEAR: Who cares if you can swim, you just need to look the part for the environment. Blending in with the beach aesthetics is essential and you’ll never go wrong with swimwear. From shorts to bikinis, you name it, swimwear is the top list for a beach fashion item. If you can swim, a plus. If you can’t swim, you don’t need to get wet, you would still look bomb doing other things like reading a book. Pick a bikini you’re comfortable with, two pieces, one-piece, swim shorts especially for guys. Just make sure your swimwear matches your style so you can play around with it, mix and match to create a style combo that suits your personality. Just as an extra tip: Please a high SPF sunscreen is super essential as your swimwear, never forget it.

2) COVER TOPS: Cover tops could be a kimono, slip dress, kaftan, shirt dress, you name it. Some swimwear comes as three or two pieces with one of the pieces being a cover top. The essence of cover-tops like the name implies is so you get covered a little more. You may want to move from the beach or pool area to a restaurant, spa, store, any emergency could pop up, you may be cold, and you just need to slip on something more than your swimwear for that.

3) BEACH HAT/ SCARFS: I’ll always advise you to go for an over-sized beach hat not only for drama but it helps block the sun from your face and still keeps you stylish. In the absence of an over-sized beach hat, you could opt for other stylish hats, and scarfs to complement your look.

4) SUNGLASSES: UV protected sunglasses are the best. There’s a variety of stylish sunglasses to compliment your look. Sunglasses are a beach accessory that could change your look from a zero, or forty to an absolute hundred. They would keep you protected, stylish and feeling fly.
5) Jewelry: From your neckpiece to earrings, and trinkets, your jewelry is important as wearing the wrong one could mess up your entire outfit. Also, make sure your jewelry is fitted properly. It wouldn’t be wise to wear diamonds that aren’t fitted properly and go for a swim. But if you don’t mind losing them, by all means, wear them. Pieces of jewelry with cowries and seashells are super beach appropriate. However, it is all about you, so wear what makes you happy and comfortable.
6) FOOTWEAR: In as much as there’s good sand and you may want to walk around barefoot, what you wear on your feet if you do wear anything matters a great deal. A lot of people care less about their feet, which isn’t a smart fashion choice. Remember everything counts, even if it is flip flops, make sure it’s intentionally picked, stylish as well as comfortable. For a little drama, you could add an anklet to make your feet pop.
7) TOTES: You’ll need a bag to put in your stuff, whatever it is: a tote, purse, make sure it is beach appropriate, comfortable, maybe sassy, and stylish.
