]]>Get into the thought process of the writer and learn more about the book from our interview with her:
Africa, Social Impact, Apparel.
These 3 words best describes what is top of mind for Olori as an individual. Olori is an alumni of the U.S State Dept. 2018 International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP). Olori Boye-Ajayi is the Founder of The KATIE WANG Company, a growing global Fashion trading company with operations currently in the U.K., Europe, Australia and the US. At its core, The vision of the company is to link talented fashion suppliers and manufacturers from Nigeria and other parts of Africa to global opportunities improving their lives and their communities multiple stitches at a time.
Olori has been listed as one of the ‘Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs in Nigeria’ for her contribution to the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nigeria and her support to the youths in Nigeria has been recognized by the U.S Consulate, Lagos where she has also had the privilege of sharing her knowledge in Fashion exportation.
Olori is set to pioneer, a new but much needed turn for the Fashion industry in Nigeria and Africa at large in quality assurance and supply chain. She believes strongly in Nigeria, but more so in the women and young people of Nigeria.
I can’t tell how long I have been writing but I just recently launched the first edition of Bordeless Trade and it took me a couple of months to write this book to guide anyone considering exporting now and in future .
So far I have just written my first edition of the borderless trade and there is more to come.
What I think makes a good story is my journey so far and all the times I made lots of mistakes while exporting and it has made me write a book on my own to show others a pathway void of errors.
It takes as long as the story fills the mind and the words to placate them for the right audience you want to share it with. I can’t give you a specific duration.
This book is for anyone new to exporting and not sure where to start? That was me a few years ago when I desired to export the items my manufacturers had produced. I went the long route and made some mistakes, some of which I don’t regret because now I can share them with you so you don’t have to make them and you can start exporting the right way. I have tried many business ideas in my little life but export completely changed the game. You can export on a domestic or international level; you pretty much determine how big you want to play in the global market. This step-by-step guide will leave you rushing to carry out the steps because its export is simplified. It’s time for the world to see what you can offer, stop holding back because you don’t know how to start – the “how” is in this easy to read-and-adopt guide in your hands. Start exporting with the confidence needed today!
The challenges so far is Maintaining a legacy business while simultaneously building a new business. This goes beyond just the (considerable) problems and expense of maintaining print while creating an online platform. The new publishing business may in fact turn out to be multiple businesses, and it’s not at all clear what those will be and also Lack of respect and appreciation for what publishers do beyond simply adding value to content and making it available.
I am the founder of Katie wang Company, a mentor/ coach at the ark coaching company and I’m also a part of the U S consulate
I remember when I used to read books I must say it helped me acquired new knowledge and improve my vocabulary and Im sure a lot of readers in the society can testify to this and being a writer has helped me achieve a lot of support from the government in regards to exporting and has given me a new path to be heard and want to be associated with
The next big thing for writers is exporting their ideas on a global scale aiming high to be heard and influential in the minds of people around them. The most beautiful thing for a writer is knowing how you book is transformational in the minds of a reader.
The Borderless Trade book is available in major online and physical bookshops.

]]>Due to the Covid-19 crowd restriction, the book launch was a virtual one and was viewed live on Youtube and Zoom, with few invited guests at the venue.
Babatunde Faleke (Deputy Director, Corporate Services, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC) gave the keynote speech, where he spoke extensively on the dangers of not exporting, according to him, “The danger of not exporting is that we will be a nation that just consumes everything”. The second speaker, Kola Awe (CEO XPT Logistics and Chairman NACCIMMA Export group) spoke extensively about the Export industry, while advising business owners, he said “Don’t wait for competition to push you out of the country before you think of exporting”, then Chinwe Egwim (Economist, Corporate Executive and Author) discussed the topic, “Borderless Trade: The Economist’s perspective”, she challenged entrepreneurs, saying, “Diversify your revenue source by plugging into an export value chain”.
During her speech, Olori Boye-Ajayi had this to say “I have written this book because I believe it is time for small businesses to wake up, think differently and package their products and services to the global market. No one will build your business for you, it’s in your hand”.
The Author, Olori Boye-Ajayi, is an experienced Business Strategist and Export Trading Consultant. She is currently the Founder and Chief Operating Officer at The Katie Wang Company, a growing global fashion trading company with operations in the U.K., Europe, Australia and the US.
The book, “Borderless Trade: A Step by Step Guide to Exporting Your Product” is a guide that has been tailored to small businesses which may not have the resources or the capacity to approach exporting in the same way a larger business might. This guide will assist budding export merchants to prepare and build capacity for the export journey
