Diana was a lot of good things: a humanitarian, amongst others. However, something we’d never forgotten about is her iconic style. One can only imagine what style she would be wearing or the way she could have imparted and influenced fashion. There’s no doubt her influence on fashion would have been tremendous.

However, whilst she was alive, we are blessed she served us with looks which we can also draw inspiration from.

July is the seventh month. To celebrate this legend, this read would be reminiscing on seven of the Princess’s killer style.

1) METALLIC DIANA :

For newbies that think metallic style is a new kid on the block. Well, Diana arrived at a fashion show on March 26, 1985, draped in this cocktail metallic dress by Bruce Oldfield. The event took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Diana as usual stunned fabulously.

2) CLASSY DIANA:

If this outfit had a personality, it would be classy. This outfit is also forever a classic. Diana wore this outfit on the 20th of April, 1985 when she was on a royal tour of Italy. She arrived at the Italian naval base in La Spezia wearing this dress by Catherine Walker which she spiced with a hat by legendary brand, Kangol.

3) BLUE ME AWAY DIANA:

The fierceness and gorgeousness of this outfit is sublime. The designer of the blue dress and hat is Bruce Oldfield. By now, you can already tell, Diana had a loving endearment for Oldfield’s design. This outfit was worn at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, D.C. in November 1985.

4) EXCEPTIONAL DIANA:

Who wears a bow-tie as a necklace over a full-on jacket and still looks classic. Well that’s Diana making all the fashion exceptions some can’t just because she can. On February 4, 1987, Diana made an official visit to Lisbon, Portugal wearing an orange jacket, black bow-tie, and a black evening skirt. Don’t you want to steal her style? 

5) MOTHER DIANA:

And one would wonder why Harry was so obsessed with his mother. One would wonder why Harry is so protective of his mother’s memory and his family. Harry and William must miss wearing matching outfits with their mother. This is a photo of Diana matching with William in a pale blue coat by Catherine Walker while going to an Easter church service. Diana must have also longed for a girl to wear matching Princess Tiaras with. Cute, right?

6) DIANA WIVES CLUB:

How she perfectly blended colors was everything. In June 1987, Diana stepped in with her royal friends to the Royal Enclosure at the Royal Ascot. Diana was adorned in a yellow floral dress, a blue hat and a blue clutch.

7) ANGELIC DIANA:

As a humanitarian, Diana was always seen up and about spreading love. On 12th September 1995, Diana stepped out to raise money for Bosnian children in a white Versace dress at a concert in Italy. Who says you can’t be glam and still do charity?

Ada Foluke Ogunkeye, popularly referred to as Folu Storms, happens to be a Nigerian on-air personality, Tv presenter, voice-over artist, and actress. She gave us a remarkable mask moment at the last AMVCA events, where she rocked a bedazzled mask. She is photographed in April, having another mask moment safely at home.

Award-winning singer, songwriter, and entertainer Teniola Apata was spotted in her car wearing her facemask, captioning it “Dragon White.” Teni has a very engaging page due to her witty sense of humor.

Celebrity music artist manager, politician, and now talk show host Ubi Franklin posed with Davido’s ChefChi last May in an Instagram photo-op wearing N95 face masks.

Beauty plus fashion influencer and on-air personality Kaylah Oniwo enjoyed a masked day rocking stylish Keexs sneakers with checkered pants and long-sleeved crop.

Lawyer and social media influencer Lola OJ spotted wearing black masks by Maksandmo while enjoying a day out in the Lagos sun.

The very stylish award-winning Nigerian actress Mercy Aigbe kept it safe while sitting on top of a red car wearing a multi-colored vintage shirt and an equally brightly colored mask by Ericamoorebrand.

Nollywood star Ini Edo covered up for a walk, in Secretsofapril face mask, which she described on her IG caption as breathable and fashionable, we concur!

Chidinma was featured in the Guardian Life in 2017 wearing a green flare midi with crossover bustier over a sheer base.

3. Tacha

Anita Natacha Akide, popularly referred to as “Tacha” or “Symply Tacha,” is an ex-housemate of BBnaija “pepper dem” 2019. A famous social media sensation reportedly accused of planning her kidnap, tattooing Davido on her chest, and was a controversial ex-housemate in the house, leading to her disqualification! We like the breaking news but, we here for her fashionable take on green.

Tacha was spotted at AMVCA 2020, in a green dress by dressmaker Flat17studio with gold purse and stilettos to match.

4. Lambo Mercy

Popular Nigerian TV personality, winner of BBnaija 2019 series, Mercy Eke popularly referred to as “Lambo Mercy–Queen of the Highlights” has been on-trend now and then after she emerged Best Dressed Female in the last concluded AMVCA 2020.

For her second entrance, she wore a green gown with a thigh-high slit, upper petal detailing around the neckline and bust down to the half-length. Valdrinsahitiofficial designed the beautiful outfit that she tagged #Greenwithenvy

5. Simi

Simisola Ogunleye is a famous Nigerian songwriter, singer, and actress, who started her musical career as a gospel singer. Simi, as she is fondly called, has bagged the “Headies” award for best record singer of the year. She has been notable for her heart-warming soul music.

Currently, she is married to Adekunle Gold, and they both share a love envied by all.

Bisola Ayeola is another famous Nigerian celebrity. She later won the AMVCA Trailblazer Award at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers choice awards and is also a budding singer.

8.Adesua Etomi-Wellington

Adesua Etomi-Wellington is another well-known Nigerian actress who made her first debut after she emerged Best Drama actress in the AMVCA awards in 2016, after a role she played in the 2015 Romance Thriller titled “falling.”

9. Mercy Johnson-Okojie

Popular Actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie, can never be forgotten for her remarkable input in the Nigerian movie industry. She is notable for her ability to play whatever character role accorded to her in the best professional and effortless way ever. The new mom stylishly rocked a green Ankara dress in the best way nature could bring forth for her cooking series on youtube called “Mercys menu.”

10. Regina Daniels.

It seems the former child star Regina Daniels has stepped into her own, wearing a green tuxedo dress she posed comfortably in front of her desktop showing, just enough skin for a semi-formal look.
