Whether you’re casually leaning your face against your hands or just trying to pop a pimple, most of us are guilty of touching our faces at one point or another throughout the day and while it might seem like a normal habit, touching your face is a serious skincare red flag. WHY YOU SHOULDN’T TOUCH YOUR FACE

While touching your face is tempting, it could also be a subconscious habit you must avoid especially in this day and age when facial appearance has become a passport to how you are perceived. According to American Association of Dermatology (AAD), making sure not to touch your face throughout the day is essential for people looking to control oily skin. Touching your face can spread dirt, oil and bacteria from your hands to your face, which can lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
Pimple popping should be avoided at all cost as it could result in permanent acne scars and besides the transfer of bacteria from your hands to your face could result in more cystic, painful and recurrent acne breakouts.

HOW TO STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE
