- KCee & Okwesili Eze Group’s ‘Cultural Praise’ won the Best Inspirational Song at the 2022 Headies Awards
- Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ won the Album of the Year Award at the 2022 Headies.
- Inoss B was awarded Best Central African Artist at the 2022 Headies Awards
- Akon and Wyclef receive International Recognition Awards at the 2022 Headies Awards
- Bose Ogulu, Efe Omorogbe, and Sunday received Special Recognition Awards.
- Essence’ won the third award at the 2022 Headies Awards for Song of the Year
- Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ won Best Afrobeats Single at the 2022 Headies Awards
- Adekunle Gold won the Songwriter Award at the 2022 Headies Awards with his hit single ‘Sinner’.
- Essence’ won Collaboration of the Year at the 2022 Headies Awards
- Patoranking won Best Dancehall/Raggae Album at 2022 Headies Awards.

- Flavour’s ‘Doings’ won the Best Alternative Song
- Olamide’s ‘Carpe Diem’ won the Best Rap Album
- Fave won rookie of the year.
- Gyake won the best west African artist of the year.
- Diamond Neptunz won Best west African artist of the year.
- Tems won the best R&B album of the year with “If orange was a place” and the Beat artist of the year.
- Burna Boy got the award of the best male artist of the year.
- Chris Brown was awarded the internal artist of the year.
- The Humanitarian of the year was won by Davido.
Last but not least, this year’s headies received little to no media attention, along with the red carpet. However, we continue to eagerly await this prize.
