]]>The series is about an army veteran who killed a man. Having been on trial all the while, the day of the final verdict broke unexpected occurrences. A group of people called the Numooris invaded the courtroom, ready to take laws into their own hands. They are freedom fighters and are determined to allow the people to decide what the verdict would be. The leader and commander of the group is Azania Maqoma (played by Hlomla Dandala)
Maqoma gives the people the opportunity to vote within a particular time. Their votes will determine how justice would be served. The twist comes when some General takes over the case, following orders from top government officials. It gets more twisted when the result of the live votes turns out to be unexpected.
Justice served reveals the height of racism in present South Africa. The corruption of the government that is supposed to protect the citizens and their interests was also x-rayed. Furthermore, we see the effects of betrayal.
The series highlights the challenges faced by society and explores the different ways people can contribute to making society better.
Irrespective of the excitement that comes with watching the series, Justice Served feels too rushed. It left certain questions unanswered and even raised new questions in the process. Some characters were not well represented and a little tweak here and there would make it more explosive.
Overall it deserves a 3.5/5 rating.
You can watch the complete series on Netflix.

1) Money heist: This movie is about a criminal genius called Professor, who has a strategy to pull off the greatest heist in documented history to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain. To help him carry out the grand plan, he selects eight people with special expertise and who have nothing to lose. Trust me, this is like the best heist movie of this generation, it is a must-see.
2) Miracle in cell no 7 (2020): This is a Turkish remake of the Asian original version in 2013. The remake is in a totally diverse language, and different from the original version, however, the story remains but despite the language barrier, just like money heist, you would love it. Warning: This could be the most emotional movie you’ve seen, you’d have to part with your precious tears. Footballer, Neymar has already confessed to crying uncontrollably like a child after seeing the movie, it is that emotional.
3) Ozark: This series which has won diverse awards is about Ozark is a married couple who are forced to relocate their family to the Ozarks following a money-laundering scheme gone wrong. This crime drama is set around a casino and you would definitely love it.

]]>MONEY HEIST PART 4
Bella Ciao! La casa de papel is a Spanish series and unarguably the biggest since Game of thrones ended (still can’t believe that ending smh) In part 4, everything is falling apart on their biggest heist yet : stealing gold from the Bank of Spain. The gang is stuck inside and tension keeps on rising. Can’t lie Part 4 was emotional and they got me real good! Just one advice if you don’t already know : The show is better when you watch it in Spanish and subtitle in English *wink*.
TIGER KING
Definitely the most raved about show this quarantine season, If you don’t mind looking at so many tiger skins on your screen, this is one documentary worth your time. A true life story, it follows the life of Joe Exotic, a zoo operator, his business practices, adoration for tigers, and hatred for Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin.
COFFEE AND KAREEM
In Coffee and Kareem, 12 year old Kareem tries to separate his mother and her white boyfriend by hiring a petty criminal. In the process, he exposes a world of criminal activity. Coffee and Kareem make an unlikely duo as they work hand in hand trying to uncover the criminal world. This movie is a comic relief and Kareem’s sharp mouth will have you laughing and laughing.
OZARK
Wiki : Jason Bateman is Marty Byrde, a financial planner who relocates his family from Chicago to Missouri Ozarks. Marty is on the move after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong, forcing him to pay off a substantial debt to a Mexican drug lord in order to keep his family safe. While the Byrdes’ fate hangs in the balance, the dire circumstances force the fractured family to reconnect.
MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7
A Turkish movie with subtitles, Miracle In Cell No 7 tells the story of the bond between a father and daughter both raised by his grandma. The father Memet, is a special needs adult with a brain of a 6 year old. Ova is the daughter and is 6 years old too. When her dad has to go to jail for a crime he did not commit. In prison, he is put in Cell No 7 with other criminals who hate and bear him after hearing his crime. Soon, they begin to realise he might have been set up and try to arrange a meeting between him and his daughter by smuggling her in. This movie touches on emotions, we see an innocent man sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit but is unable to defend himself, Ova is one sharp 6 year old and some people commit crimes to go to jail so they can have somewhere to sleep when it’s cold (I laughed so hard at the casualness but it’s worth reflecting)
CASTLE & CASTLE
If you like Suits, you just have to love this Nigerian series Castle & Castle. With just one season and an array of cast, this series tells the story of Remi & Tega Castle, a married couple trying to keep their lawfirm afloat while having conflicting with the other’s approach; Denola Grey is Benjamin Castle, their sun who is back in Lagos for his NYSC and totally hates it here; the Senior Associates : Blossom Chukwujekwu is the ever pragmatic Maliq Mustapha. Eku Edewor is Nnenna Amadi, an everything Human rights lawyer, Deyemi Okanlawon as Kwabena Mills, charming and dedicated lawyer who knows how to separate business from pleasure. I really enjoy this show, from Mike constantly going against Castle and Castle ( He’s a former associate and after the first two Ls, I expected him to back up but I guess not) to Nike trying to seduce Mr Castle (the fear of Mrs Castle is the beginning of wisdom o) to Stella’s flirty/very intense laughs and Captain’s secret and unrequited show of love, the story line is well crafted, you get to experience reality, see what cases people take to lawyers from serious cases about a 14 y/o trying to escape death sentence to Alhaji’s “machine” disappearing (Nedu killed this part).
