]]>Notwithstanding, some people are still able to create during this period and we would highlight a few.
Is it a coincidence that Essence Magazine and Naomi Campbell are turning 50 at the same time? Who else deserves to do the cover of Essence apart from Super-Duper model, Campbell? According to Essence, Campbell did her hair, own makeup and own styling before turning the lens on herself to do what would become the first-ever ESSENCE magazine cover shot entirely on an iPhone. Talk about being a supermodel with super skills.
Bella Hadid and her vogue Italia team didn’t let the changing times stop them. They shot and styled an entire look via facetime. Tell me about fashion innovation, this is it.
While sharing the post on Instagram, Bella Caption it as:
“…New work for @vogueitalia shot and styled through FaceTime by my Quaranqueens @briannalcapozzi @haleywollens PRODUCTION/lighting by @Laurenperez Much love. feeling lucky to work.”
Kim the Queen Slayer has been making rounds with her controversial line of underwear which was once called Kimono and received backlashes from the Asian community. Kimono now called Skims has amazing reviews and the Skims team is gearing up for the summer mesh release. Kim took to her Instagram to share snippets of the campaign shot by her on phone booth. Isn’t she just a delight?
This issue was produced in the first few weeks of lockdown in The Netherlands. It was put together by the team over countless video calls, WhatsApp messages, and phone conversations. The team for this shoot cover includes:
Photography: Ferry van der Nat;
Styling: Jos van Heel & Dimphy den Otter;
Models: Nikki Tissen, Ayesha Djwalapersad, Cato van Ee, Julie Hoomans, Bente Oort, Anna de Rijk, Nella Ngingo, Danielle van Grondelle, Yahaira Gezius.

Kudos to all the creatives. Nevertheless, this spikes a new conversation. Would the new normal be that models also have photography skills? How would it progress in the future? This is a conversation I can’t stop having with myself. What do you think?

]]>1) WAIST TRAINER: We very much may want that cinched waist but in reality the stomach is full, you’ve got a thick waist, and everything in between. To create that illusion and actually have the physical look, a waist trainer is a magic touch. Always go for waist trainers that won’t be visible beneath your clothes, are comfortable and not so uncomfortable. Remember you’re wearing a bandage dress on a waist trainer, you should consider things like comfort, it is only fair you consider comfort for yourself.
2) SHAPE-WEAR: If you need to wear any underwear at all, it should be shape-wear. Kim K has given us her endless secret even with her line skims and has told us how she even doubles shape-wear, it is that important. Just make sure you pick quality shape-wear and also think of comfort, ask yourself questions like, if I need to pee in this shape-wear, and dress, can I? It would help you especially if you are going out, and going alone. I don’t think you want your first date to end in a struggle to pee featuring a shape-wear moment.
3) EDIT YOUR PICTURES: You may ask yourself why you never look like your favorite fashion influencers even when you follow their best tips. Here is the thing: a lot of fashionistas especially Instagram fashionistas edit their photos, from lightning to removing body blemish to enhancing their bodies. Now it’s the body enhancing part we are on to. If a little waist cinch, acne clearing, hip padding would make you feel better especially on your pictures, by all means, go ahead and do it. Also, you can enhance your photo exposure, choose feels and filters for your photos. Remember the keyword is comfort, if you feel comfortable with it, go ahead. If you don’t feel comfortable enhancing your photos, you already look snatched by following the first two steps, so go ahead and enjoy your perfect picture in a bandage dress!
