Woven Threads returns in 2026 with a bold new theme, “CRAFTED,” as Style House Files (SHF) unveils the next edition of its flagship sustainability platform, taking place April 9–12, 2026. The event will convene designers, innovators, and industry leaders. Together, they will explore practical and locally grounded solutions for building a more sustainable fashion ecosystem across Africa.
Since its launch, Woven Threads has brought together hundreds of creatives and stakeholders shaping Africa’s fashion and textile value chains. As a result, the platform has become a central hub for conversations on circular fashion, responsible production, material innovation, and systems-led design thinking across the continent.

Building on Global Momentum
Following the success of its 2025 cross-continental dialogues in London and Lagos, the 2026 edition expands its vision through a three-day immersive experience. It will spotlight contemporary circular design, material intelligence, and adaptive reuse. In addition, this year’s theme positions craft not only as heritage but also as a working framework. This framework guides how fashion is designed, produced, scaled, and sustained within Africa’s evolving creative economy.
At the same time, the platform presents sustainability as a lived practice rooted in community knowledge, traditional techniques, and modern innovation. In this way, it highlights how local expertise can shape global solutions.
Woven Threads 2026 will unfold as a curated, design-driven environment featuring:
- Exhibition: Showcasing Africa’s leading circular designers and material innovators.
- Knowledge Exchange: Facilitating industry dialogues on systems thinking and sustainable production.
- Marketplace: Connecting craft-focused brands, textile entrepreneurs, and accessories labels with global partners.
- The Showcase: Positioning Africa as a source of solutions where tradition and innovation intersect.
Collectively, these elements reinforce Woven Threads’ role as both a cultural platform and an industry-facing convening space within the wider Lagos Fashion Week ecosystem.
