Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman has died. Boseman died at his home earlier today. He was 43 years old.

His family announced his death on his social media. \u201cIt is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,\u201d the post stated.

Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. \u2063<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chadwick Aaron Boseman was an American actor. Born on the 29th of November 1976. He portrayed several real-life historical figures, such as Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get on Up, and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He won a NAACP Image Award<\/a> and a Screen Actors Guild Award<\/a> for his performance in Black Panther<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His publicist Nicki Fioravante, said  Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” his family said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more – all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis. He is survived by his wife and a parent and had no children, Fioravante said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
