COGOD COLLECTION RELEASE STORY
In line with our sustainability ethos, our first ethical collection is inspired by inclusion in the church, our friends around the world and fellow creators, and our transition into a more conscious sustainable brand using eco-friendly, hand-woven, hand dyed fabrics with low impact materials for our tie-dye process.
We started this journey with a title “CHILDREN OF GOD” and a blank page. Six months later we found ourselves on a trip to the great Abeokuta. The home of hills and Adire. We dug our hands into bleach, stamped our symbol on cotton, wrote our names on silk and prayed our cross in chiffon.
“As we fly together, there is love and beauty in our diversities”.
The monotone collection features our take on wardrobe staples in tie-and-dye. We used various comfortable fabrics to create a collection of timeless functional designs and the basics. Like the classic long sleeve shirt for men and women, single breasted blazer jacket, matching casual co-ords, easy-breezy kimonos- everything you need to comfortably move from one moment to the next.
We can’t wait to see what you wear and share it with the world. We want to contribute to our economy and feed the future one design at a time.
